Bittersweet Gourmet Wins ‘Best Single Recipe’ in Italy Blog Awards

Italy Magazine
‘It’s an honor just to be nominated…’

Italy Magazine is the go-to publication for all things Italian. Recently I participated in their Italy Blog Awards 2013, a super initiative that brought together some amazing Italy-based writers and bloggers. I was thrilled to be nominated (read: I made my husband nominate me) in the Best Food Blog category, if for no other reason than the joy of seeing my blog listed alongside dazzling bloggers like Emiko Davies, Katie Parla, and Judy Witts Francini. Have a look at their blogs and you’ll know how sincere I am when I say, ‘It was an honor just to be nominated.’ Definitely check out the uber-deserving winner in this category, too, Italy on My Mind.

An early recipe I posted on The Bittersweet Gourmet, which is also one of the only recipes I have ever created on my own, made the Awards short-list for Best Single Recipe—and won! Here is the winning recipe for Bucatini in Artichoke, Anchovy & Saffron Sauce.

Many, many thanks to those who voted, those who keep coming back to the site, and to Italy Magazine for the chance to hang with the cool kids. Cheers and buon appetito!
